Partnerships 2020

From the heart of the river to the heart of the city

We appreciate your interest in our 2020 Partnership Opportunities — please read on! When UNINTERRUPTED premiered in 2017, audiences loved it. More than 30,000 came to watch as the entire underside of Vancouver’s Cambie Bridge was transformed into a wild BC river nightly through the summer — immersing spectators in the splendour of a Pacific salmon migration and giving them an unforgettable close-up look at one of BC’s biggest icons.

In an era of climate change, wild salmon need our support more than ever —
one of the major reasons to get back on the bridge in August 2020.

Uninterrupted offers our partners:

  • a great way to connect with residents and visitors alike
  • significant profile opportunities at the live events and online
  • access to world-class video content for social media
  • and a feel good association with a memorable summer experience and a cutting-edge work of art.

“UNINTERRUPTED inspires people to care about the natural world around them—
and share the feeling with their friends.”

Let’s discuss how you can be a part of the group of distinguished partners that are creating connections through big art with lots of heart.

How Do We Do it?

UNINTERRUPTED combines cutting-edge technology, underwater cinematography, high-powered projectors, and an original score in a nightly 25-minute cinematic event that takes people from the city to the river and back again. Led by three women, it is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nettie Wild, and produced by Betsy Carson and Rae Hull through the Canada Wild Arts Society, a registered charitable organization.

To make UNINTERRUPTED happen also requires a great network of partners. We’re grateful to our 2017 partners, many of whom are back once more – and we’d be thrilled to have you join them. Let’s connect.

Making a Splash On-line

UNINTERRUPTED’s companion website has interactive features that allow the audience to:

  • Experience a salmon’s migration first hand with the interactive “UNINTERRUPTED Journey”.
  • Submit their name and see it projected on the bridge with others signalling support for salmon.
  • Discover volunteer organizations supporting salmon habitat in their neighbourhoods.

Media, Public and Critical Acclaim

We’ve received multiple awards and fantastic media coverage in over 100 publications – people keep asking, when will the salmon return to the bridge?
